Question Anyone taken an E92 out yet? First impressions?

I have not got round to ringing the dealer yet to arrange a test drive. I hear the 335i ride is very hard on the 19" wheels.

Anyone got any UK first impressions?

Do I need to start putting a few more pennies in the piggy bank or shall I stick with what I have got for a bit longer?

Before the financial reality kicks in I am thinking of:
  • 335i
  • space grey (need to see one in the flesh though)
  • black leather
  • brushed aluminium
  • bluetooth
  • prof nav (probably)
  • ipod dock
  • Star-Spoke 189 Wheels (18")

What is in the brochure basically!

Saw my 1st one on a transporter at the weekend and thought

Already planning one for my next car in 1 year 11 months

Give them chance to release an M Sport model and provide some reasonable discounts !

I am a BMW man through and through already ... I am "SOLD" on the brand

335d

Hi I recieved my 335d yesterday, i used to have an M3 convertible and i tell you this 335d rocks, it will out run most on the the road, obviously i have to take it a bit easy but in the 150 miles i have already covered its like off a shovel. the mid range is fantastic and you can't hear the engine, you just look at the speedo needle and watch it rise. I test frove the 335 petrol and prefer the 335d, its only 19hp shy but the mid range is much quicker its on tap. This is the first diesel i have owned and highly recommend it. i ordered balck with Jade green leather, style 230 19in alloys, privacy windows, sat nav etc etc.

Fantastic ... it looks amazing !

I "love" the front mesh lower grille area ... gives it that "m sport" look

It really looks cool and I like it ... big time.

Love the colour and light leather trim too.

Bet you're looking forward to getting her out on the road.

The car will feel extra special for a good few months too, with it being a brand new model ... a few heads will be turning

Thanks, she is already out on the road and she goes well and yes a few heads are turning, nice feeling. Re the Sportiness, the other 3 series launched in se trim looked a bit bland, but i think this looks good and extra spoilers etc would ruin the class of the car.

against the M3 i have just traded in anything is comfortable, i would say that this isn't harsh by any means, its really quite civilized.

I see you are in Surrey. Drive it up "Pewley Way" in Guildford a few times or the A31 between Farnham and Alton (not on that smooth bit by Bentley) and then let me know!

I will be taking any test drive over those roads in order to compare!

i cant help but laugh for joy when i read that my new car will have five HUNDRED and eighty Nm of turning juice!!! - looking at a remap too so then we're talking just shy of seven, yes SEVEN hundred :rocks: :rocks:

(my current car is plenty quick (integra type-r) and it has 178Nm )

If I were in Europe, I would probably have ordered a 335d too: torque, resale value, lower cost of ownership.

Hi xrrr

I love my Space Grey! Click the link for pics. Believe me, you won't be disappointed if you choose this colour. It changes according to the light and can look like a misty grey or a sharp gun metal. Really brings out the lines and blends brilliantly with the mesh grill. Quite easy to keep clean as well.

I drove the 335i on 19'' rims and really liked it, but went for the 330i so I could load a few extras on. I'm used to high revving engines and the 330i is fine for me. Enough torque, but fun to rev as well. I also went for 18'' rims in the end, partly because I prefer the design and partly due to financial considerations.

Black looks great inside...but I wanted to stand out! I particularly like the aluminium trim in mine as it gives the cabin a special feel.

Whatever you go for you'll love it.
