Question about problems/reliability
Hi guys, been on this forum for quite a while and hoping to hop into a 335i soon. I plan on getting a used 335i coupe, but not sure which year is the least problematic. Also, since BMW is known (weather true or false) to have reliability issues, how are the 335i's holding up, especially 2007 models? I've heard about trouble starting up, Oil-coolers, over-heating, and front brake screeches, but that's it. Also, if anyone has chipped it, has it caused any problems?
Thanks ***** Searching right now as we speak, sorry ****** |

I am surprised you didn't list HPFP. More homework needs to be done. 07,08 HPFP does have extended warranty. General rule is the later the better. I would highly recommend you to get a CPO car or extended warranty(not service). N54 engine is so complicated any repair relates to power trans can easily cost thousands.
