Well getting my 2 dents done tonight.

Hopefully Dent wizard guy is a pro and doesnt jack up the interior of my ride, got one in the middle of rear door. and a dent on the wheelwell area.

Then I am dropping my car off on wed. for about 9 Goodwill repairs. So I was told it wont cost anything to get them fixed so I guess I will see.

Plus a free loaner for 1-2 days.

Here is a quick list of items getting fixed:

1. Loose rearview mirror, swings around when I hit bumps at the location where it twist onto the windshield mount. (moves left and right easily depending on the weather mostly)

2. Minor driver’s door adjustment, you can see a ¼” gap in the door on the top and a 1/8” gap on the bottom. (If that cannot be adjusted then maybe at least the latch where the door catches and hooks into. It looks to be low and has been cutting into the silver plated latch tab)

3. The seal on the top of the front windshield is wavy and the corners are completely loose and can be moved around freely.

4. Rear window bottom seal thats slides off on the right side.

5. The steering wheel issue I had, before the column swap, has returned, but I do not know if anything can be done about this issue?

6. There is a black wire holder shield that fits right in front of the micro filter element location that has a broken left tab in which I had to zip tie it to keep from vibrating.

7. The windshield cover on the bottom of the front windshield glass that covers the wiper motor is not sealed to glass correctly.

And this will be ALL out of warranty repairs.

I will keep u informed once I get the car back to see how it went and to see if I get them all fixed for free or not?

PS I will bring up the tears/cracks in my seat and see if they will swap it out, but I doubt that?

Well Update, I did not get them fixed, one was there b4 and has been fixed b4 and the guy said there is no way to fix without bondo and repainting it.

The small door ding one he said could be fixed but he needed to drill a hole in my door to fix and its such a small ding I dont know if it is worth the hole being drilled?

What do you think, I have them FREE till May 2010

Did you buy the car new? It almost sounds like it has been in a serious accident and was not properly fixed.

Yes I am very anal retentive, but when it comes to dropping a good portion of money on a CPO'd vehicle these things should have been caught and fixed before it was on the lot to be sold.

And if you have followed my story since joining this board, you would have known that when I took it in for my 1st repair and picked it up, they destroyed my paint job and will not fix it. They tried there best to get all the damage out, but it needs paint correction.

So they kind of feel bad and now treat me and my vehicle with some care as they know I am watching them, and they are actually a good fair dealership.

PS I dropped off my car this morning and am getting ALL the above repairs done with a free loaner, ALL for NO out of pocket cost.

thanks, they had to call a pro body guy to properly align my front door I guess and order a few overnight parts. The convo coupe loaner I got is pretty nice, but I do not think I would buy a convertible.

the coupe is a nice ride though, for whomever has one.

Man I guess they had to reset the windshield as thats why the cowl cover and top seal never fit perfectly. Said at the factory it must have slide down some when it was mounted cause it is still OEM BMW Glass.

SO I pick it up today and should find out what all they did but it sounds like a TON of stuff, after reading another post I know my starter is going, but that can wait. I am not going to complain about anything for some time, unless they try to charge me tonight when I pick it up.

UPDATE GUYS:

Well I got the following done free of charge

1. Windsheild alignment so cowl fits a lot better now, it is not new so the seal will take time to form to the glass I am told.

2. Top windshield seal that is secured down now and looks nice and new.

3. Re-aligned my drivers door so now it is straight and shuts and opens perfectly. Looks better to.

4. Replaced my lower steering shaft and guess what the column side to side ticking/clicking is GONE. And this is AFTER they swapped my steering column with no luck and said it was normal before. So bring that up if you have that issue.

5. used the 12 hour windsheild adhesive on my rear seal so now that right side will NEVER come off again.

6. Replaced the black wire holder that had a broken left tab that goes over the engine and attaches to the micro filter.

Yes they did not actually put in a new rear view mirror but I think tried to use butyl tape or silicone to tighten it up from swinging, and they are ordering me a new assm now. and they mangled the airbag tabs when trying to remove them to get pillars off for windshield. But I emailed the SM and hopefully these small issues can be ordered and replaced next time I go into dealership for service.

But they said my car is in tip top shape service wise and wont need them for at least 6 months or so.

I am very happy with everything they did but it always seems like I get one thing fixed and then someone messes up something else by accident or carelessness.

But it was all free, and I had a loaner for 5 days as well. So all in all I am recommending this dealer to my friends as they have always tried their best for me.

I am just very very very picky

hahaha well the cowl is starting to get gaps in it again, but the top seal is great as well as the steering shaft fix. But at least the gaps are a lot smaller this time and I think if they used a new cowl it would of been better but they re-used my old one that was already warped.
