Exclamation E90 Performance Upgrade Opinion

Hello All,

Just got a 07 335i, and have been reading this forum for a few days.

Would like any positive or negative feed backs on what I am doing to my car:

a.) Already ordered a "FULL" RD Sport Exhaust

b.) Already ordered a RD Sport European ECU Flash

c.) Thinking about a STETT Cold Air Intake (any thoughts?)

d.) Thinking about a Active AutoWerkes Intercooler (any thoughts?)

I would appreciate any feedback. I do not want to waste money.

Thanks!!

Curious - why did you decide on the RD ECU flash? I don't know anything about it but I've heard some phenomenal reviews on the GIAC ECU flash. Are you familiar with GIAC?

My Tuner shop says there the best, and I have been using my tuner shop for a couple of years now on past AMG cars.

They are a European Company and do performance upgrades for only a few mfg's.

Sounds good - looking forward to get your perspective on it once it's installed...

How about DPs? Those would be a good compliment to the exhaust and help the car breathe along with the intake. Can the RD ECU flash be adapted to these modifications? It won't yield nearly the power it can without adjusting for the increased air flow.

They have a few based on other parts you bolt on (i.e. exhaust, intake, intercooler) you tell them what else your doing to your car, and they will up the software accordingly.

Yeah - I like Nick's suggestion on the DPs too, especially given your other mods...

I am installing RD Sport exhaust from the CATS just behind the turbos. Aren't the down pipes just after the turbo's? I am doing front pipes, x-pipe, and rear mufflers....
