You might get $150 if you're lucky

The problem is that everyone's car comes with downpipes and not many people sell theirs when they upgrade..

You'd get $50 bucks at a junk yard... maybe... They have to weigh what they give you against the chance they have to re-sell the DPs. A simple scrap yard would sell them by material and mass, which would give you even less cash. And cats are NOT that expensive. Google for it... Anywhere from $60 bucks to $350 bucks. You can buy a single 3" in/out diameter high flow stainless race cat for $100 bucks. Case in point : http://www.maperformance.com/vibrant...onverters.html The only reason DPs cost a lot from BMW... is because it's BMW. Fact remains, If you need OEM DPs : You can pay BMW over $1K for a new set, or pay the OP $500. -scheherazade |

I think these would be a good deal, maybe around $200?
For someone to gut them and have some of the benefits of aftermarket downpipes but without the suspicion from the dealers if they decide to take the car in for service. |
