new blue e350 on LI

i was driving out to jones beach today to get some shots. i was on the meadowbrook parkway, when all of a sudden i see a little old lady driving a new E-class. i was looking carefully because i can't decide if i like it or not.

ANYWAY...... it started to pull ahead and i looked at the back and saw an E350 badge (on the drivers side where the badge is supposed to be). but on the passenger side was a V12 badge. i couldnt believe my eyes.i tried to get a picture but the second i grabbed my camera i hit traffic and she got away from me. i thought it was only people trying to pretend they had an M.

My question is, given how new the car is, and given the little old lady behind the wheel, is it possible that the dealer is putting these things on?

BTW it had a Mercedes Benz of Massapequa lisence plate frame.

It could have been a manufacturer mistake. I recall Jim E.'s 335d that came from the factory with a 335i badge.

wow thats crazy. if it was someone younger behind the wheel, i'd say that they put it there. i'd would have never thought that the factory slapped that on.
