335d owner nipping in
Our 335d Touring went in to the dealer (a part needed ordering) to finally sort a stuck rear middle seatbelt - it was actually a manufacturing fault (!) but was sorted.
Had a 120d M Sport in blue for two days. It's actually a pretty nice motor - nice and "tight" and very chuckable. Quicker than expected too. I quite liked it. Bad points are: Seats are half "leather" I think - the leather looks VERY much like plastic. The door cards seem to be straight from the wall of an Indian restaurant; sort of flock wallpaper effect. Dash seems plasticky. Gearchange is way too notchy. Clutch foot rest keeps catching the inside of my shoe - and no I don't have weird wide feet. Sounds cack. Small/tiny. Don't like dark headlining (mine is an SE with a sunroof) Had auto stop technology - I really don't like this. Very low spoiler for our steep drive. A few other interior surfaces are pretty naff plastic. Business radio looks a bit "Vauxhall/Ford/cheap car." But the good points are: Lovely alloys (huge too) Ride pretty good considering the tyres and wheels. Revs freely and easily. Easy to fling around. Looks decent overall. M Sport wheel is nice. Seats are a good shape - but covered in plastic and some weird fabric. Overall I was quite impressed - the 20d seems a lot livelier than the 18d engine in the 318d M Sport I had last time the car went in and shifts it along well. The 318d felt more "solid" and better built though. I was however glad to get the 335d back and go flying at warp speed up the handily placed dual carriageway hill that Ocean Falmouth MUST have had "put" there just to blast their cars up! Right, I'm back to E91 again - byee! Last edited by Em135eye; 10-09-2009 at 06:07 AM.. |

Conclusion - this isn't the most heavily used forum on the 'net...!

....or just that you didn't really ask any questions that anyone might respond to?
(Although I didn't even know BMW made a 120d coupe :-) ).

Yeah, ask a fricking question :-)
I have got experience of both the 335d Coupe and 135i Coupe as I have both. Colleagues have the 120d and I really think that they are a tad dull, but I am a bit of a speed freak and think even the 123 feels slow!
