I just got my car from PCD and I had the owner of the company come do the install in my garage today. Very nice guy and highly recommended.

He charge $595 for the hood, fender, bumper, mirror and others.

However I had him did the Bumper for $350. I will post pic later on! Good guy and will follow up on his work. It took him 4 hours to do the 135i bumper.

I guess I just dont get the point of a clear bra if it costs as much as a repainted bumper or hood.

2 cents, any repainting will lower your car value.

Different strokes for different folks I guess. I cant stand that. And I call BS on repainting the hood diminishing the value of the car. First of all, done correctly, no one would even know it. It definitely isn't showing up on a carfax report.

Even If it cost as much to repaint it, its still a better deal to get the clear bra! If you put the clear bra, you will never have to paint it again. But if you paint it, it'll still get chipped and you will have to paint it agaian and again!! Commom sense yo

Here's my guy in Broward

(954) 941-5999 Phil Wallace. Tell him "Yellow Focus Guy" recommended you. Yes, more people know me for my commuter car than my 1. Sad, yes. But my Focus is my "project car" (no warranty). His shop is in Broward County, on Sample Road at U.S.1.

On my Focus, he charged me $290. That's the best I found.

As for if it is worth it, here's the numbers. BMW Body shop charges $500/panel. For bumper molding and hood, that's $1000. My indy body shop for my Focus charges $300 a panel, but then that would depreciate the vehicle. If a BMW shop does the paint, "No" depreciation. If indy shop, you MUST report that the car is "repainted", and then you get depreciation.

Pay $300 for the clear bra. If film gets torn or chipped, it is warrantied and replaced. So when you sell/trade-in the car, the front bumper and hood are "perfect".

Simple :->
