I thought you didn't like us anymore - annoyingly for you, I might be as close as you can get to someone who works in publishing on here

Apart from 'Big' Steve of course, but what he publishes I expect is not what your after!

I've got a "fair stash" here, wonder if I have any of "Big" Steve's flicks? :dunno:

Well, Matt, you have a long memory. I don't want to get dragged into another series of arguments...... my political views sure don't mesh too well with the majority on this forum. Well, not too surprising.

But no, I'm not 'annoyed' that you 'might be as close as you can get to someone who works in publishing on here', thanks. I thought you worked in computers, and did a bit of technical author work. Which, by the way, so do I.

Thanks for your reply to my post. Was it really worth it?

I love the 'happy go lucky' vibe we've developed on the forum this week.

We are like one enormous dysfunctional family.

lol... I am going to brand 335Diesel FieldingMelish2... (because you came first of course)

Can't you see (like he can't) that my reply was not IN ANY WAY antagonistic or intended to degrade or dredge up the past.

Moody fucker, what's supposed to happen here is that you hit some banter back, and then I reply in kind and then we form a bond upon which a basis for some kind of useful relationship with each other can be formed.

Bollocks to it - no it wasn't worth it, I won't bother next time, be assured.

Well, how can a post which says "I thought you didn't like us any more", and "annoyingly for you..." be seen as non-antagonistic, or not dredging up the past?

Well, if I take you at your word, then I'm not going to be antagonistic towards you. I don't think I have been, above.

But yeah, I admit it, I am a moody fucker. Can't argue with you there.

[banter_attempt]
You cheeky young whippersnapper. Haven't you got better things to do, like fitting a new set of furry dice to your 335d, checking the Carphone Warehouse website for new monthly contract rates, or preparing for several decades of Tory rule?

No

hehehe.

I cant remember what it was about initially, but I made a large post about my political point of view/ignorance to which FM took immediate offence.

Well, I'm not 100% sure what you mean by this post. You asked for non-antagonistic attitudes, you suggested friendly banter. When I try entering (however reluctantly) into that spirit, you respond with the above.

I hate getting into rows on forums, it never does anybody any good. So I refrain from speaking my mind in this instance.

In this case, I agree with Matt. If you really insist on poking through other people's ancient disputes, go and look up the threads yourself.

Started out as a bit of a discussion about Jeremy Clarksons comments on Gordon Brown.

Got a bit out of hand as these things do.

Not surprisingly I was involved to some extent, since I'm physically unable to resist an argument.

I apologise profusely for my part in the whole affair and hope that we can all put it behind us an move on.

Welcome back 'FieldingMellish'. Thought I'd try to divert the tread back on topic...

but, sorry I don't work in publishing. If I think of someone I'll PM you.

edit - just realised my post 'could' be read in the wrong way, take my word for it, it was meant to helpfully steer you back on track so please don't read it with a sarcastic tone (that's not my scene, well, certainly not in writing anyway )

Hi Roger. I hope you got your problems with a certain local BMW dealership sorted out in the end.

This is a great car forum, but there are a lot of people on here who I have a personality mismatch with. And a lot of shit stirrers. PM me any time. Otherwise I'm off again, will check back in now and then.

Hey, there's load of miss-matches on here, it's what livens it up, all welcome though.

A cracking read (Clarkson - Brown) and its things like that that makes me happy I live in a free speaking country.

The main contributors to the thread have an excellent take on our written language and should be quite pleased that they can put down in words what they actually feel (something I cant do). I just wish 335diesel was about to have put his non-confrontational point of view in.
