Am i the only one
who thinks the new autotrader site is really fucking shit.
everytime i want to look at the photos the pop up appears half way up the page so i have to keep adjusting it. wank also when i want to scroll up and down the page with the arrow keys it jumps up and down like an irrate pensioner with parkinsons disease. WANK.

I think our 'other halves' asked Autotrader to do this to stop us searching for new cars

Funnily enough I thought about posting a similar thread.
Its like they changed the old, slow, shit, not compatible with ANY phone site to something even shitter - and why? They failed to address ALL the things which would make the site useful - like for example a SENSIBLE way of searching for the EXACT fucking model I want, so that when I put in 'M3' I dont see every clown who is selling a 318 with M3 wheels. OK, you could argue that I could search by engine size - but seeing as the engine sizes dont seem to be ordered in a SENSIBLE FUCKING WAY you end up with E46/E90's in the same fucking category. Granted, I could dilute it via year - but WHY OH WHY do they make it so I can only search for cars that are 1, 3, 5 or 7 years old? What about 2 years old??? Why not Year from and to? Anyway, never mind. At least the mileage criteria is sensible...10, 20, 40k... hold on... what about that CRITICAL fucking point where people sell their cars after a year of ownership, when for a typical mile muncher it will be on, OH ABOUT 22.5k so now I have to search through a bunch of cars that have just slightly too much mileage on, and are just slightly too old for me. What a load of FUCKING BOLLOCKS. I'm going to lie dormant for a while again now. Matt |

A few months ago they kept referring me to a BETA version of this new site. I filled in their feedback form making it perfectly clear that I thought it was utter shite. I can't imagine I'm the only person who made that comment, but they have clearly decided to ignore the feedback of their customers and seem determined to flush their business down the pan. |

My bookmark still goes to the old style site - here it is:
http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk...H&legacy_url=Y replace the xxx+xxx with your postcode (I've removed mine) before/after you pop in your browser and bookmark it. does it work? still can't do proper searches like you say - they could learn from PH where you can even search for specific models, e.g. E46 M3s, E90 M3s, Pre-89 911, 993 911 etc. |

Oh...and the new Autotrader site.
One word for it. WANK I mean...you can't even see which the latest adverts are...a stupid omission. Pistonheads and ebay is much better but sadly not everyone advertises on those sites |

I last used it to find my car - I was having to use FOUR different ways of searching to make sure I missed nothing.
Just checked the new version - oh dear - what HAVE they done?!! That's got to be hurting user numbers?! |
