2006 325i w/15.5k miles FOR SALE CHEAP

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
Guys and Gal's I need help. I live in Ogden UT and I have a 325i W/ premium and nav and need to sell it ASAP for 30k. The car is in perfect condition. Kelly blue books at 33,100. Titanium Silver with black leather. If you know anyone in the community that wants this car please tell them about this awesome deal. It really doesnt get better then this. I went to the dealer and they only wanted to give me 27,500... I turned around and said you have my car w/o Nav same miles for 40k what gives. No good answer of course. So anyway the car is listed on auto trader it is the cheapest 06 325i listed. Please help me help someone else.

u are aware when u buy new car u need to pay tax on $30,000.
If u accept deal @ dealer for $27,500 it's like your getting $30,000?
Then again depends on tax rate where u live?
Here it is 8% so $27,500 is really $29,700.
Just something to think about!

Wouldn't the person buying have to pay the tax on it? Not the seller?

The thread starter wants $30,000 for his car.
Is he not gonna buy another car & have to pay tax on it?

He'd have to pay tax on the new car he's buying but shouldn't have to pay tax on the car he's selling.

My price is more then resonable, and yes the car has been on the market (Autotrader and ksl classifieds)for over 2 months with not 1 person looking at it. I really dont understand why its not selling its a beutiful car in perfect condition(only reason it could be is that its rear-wheel drive and winter is comming). I need to buy a house and unload excess debt to get the loan I want.

What he means is if he were trading in the car to the dealer and getting $27500 for it they substract that from whatever car he's getting before charging the tax.

So if his new car were $30,000 if he is offering the above as trade in he only pays tax on $2500... instead of the whole $30,000.

He's talking about the preceived drop in value when you buy a new car. The car isn't worth less after you buy it, you just can't recoup the sales taxes you paid on the car.

I would buy it if it wasn't for the color combo. I'm not a fan of Silver exterior and black leather.

This doesn't sound right at all, i believe he'll still pay tax on the entire $30,000 no matter how he pays for it.

If you trade in your car, you do not pay sales tax on the amount of the trade in:

You buy a new car for 40K, and your trade in is worth 30K. You pay sales tax, on the new car, of only 10K.

it doesnt matter anyway, he isnt trading it in!

hm.. guess that's something to think about when you trade in.. dealer didn't want the last car i had..

I still think having to pay for tax on used car is BS, they're basically collecting tax on the same item multiple times..

Try adding more pictures to your add and avoiding "negative" words like "detuned". A lot of buyers aren't savvy to the lingo associated with these cars and may actually think you "detuned" your car for some reason. A lack of photos (to me) makes it seem like there is something you're not showing us.

Good luck!
