It has literally been raining here every day for the last couple of weeks. My RS has been sitting getting drookit wet out in the back garden for the same period, so thought I would take it for a wee spin. Just to warm her through.

Little reluctant to start - flooded 1 and 4 piston to start with (must fit my fuel pressure regulator), but a quick clean of the plugs and she was purring.

Went out at 1pm just back in now at 5.30pm

What a fun car. Crisp direct quick steering, rorty twin down-draught webers, steering on the throttle when required. Firm ride, yes, but somehow so much more communicative and flowing than my 335D - just look at the difference between 13" and 18" alloys. Light body makes changing direction instant. Recaros and race harness simply unbeatable.

Briskly down the coast road a few times and then some schmoozing in stealth mode off the cam around town (as much as you can with a muckle big blue stripe) ... exhaust low-frequency burbling.

Nice and warmed through now.

Will tuck her away tomorrow until the next time I am over.

Jeez, you could use the 335's brake discs as 'wheel covers' lol

Car looks great as always Dave, and good to see it actually get's used as well!! (Hope she gets a good clean after all that wet weather driving tho' )
