Confused about used 2007 335i coupe prices...

It seems like there is a wide range of prices for used 07 335i coupes. I have seen similar optioned coupes with around 30,000 miles being listed anywhere from $34,000 to $39,000.

Ideally, I would like a 335i coupe with around 30,000-40,000 miles with premium, sport, cold weather packages and navigation. I would like to spend $30,000-$32,000. Is this not realistic? What should they be going for? I have used KBB and am not sure if I should be looking at suggested retail, trade in, or private party. Any help is appreciated.

your price range is very correct. for a 2007 e92 335i with the specs you want can offer that much and should be able to get it. the people who are listing it 34k+ are just hoping to get their money back or are dealers. offer 30-32k and you should get something good

You should be able to get a prem/sport/nav/cold 335i coupe with 30k on it for around $30k I would think. I paid $32k for one with 11,500 miles a few months ago

I think 30-32K is realistic. Generally you pay less for private party transactions versus purchasing from a dealer.

Private party is definitely in the range I am looking at but I have not been able to find something that has most everything I want. The dealers have inflated the prices tremendously. I offered $31k to two dealers today, one did not respond, and the other told me good luck. Both coupes had premium/sport/cold with around 30k miles. I am just surprised that I did not even receive a counter offer.

My advice from experience, especially in the DC metro area, be patient and you'll find the right deal, especially since the 2010 MY is being released soon. I got my 07 e92 for $29k (it was listed at 29.9k and i got it down to 29k) with 39k miles, see my sig for options, it was a trade in at a Lexus/Audi dealer in Owings Mills, MD. I was very skeptical at the price it was listed at but I told the sales mgr, if he held it for me I'd be there the next day to check it out. It was in GREAT condition for the mileage and I had a check in hand. I still have alerts up on autotrader.com/cars.com and still haven't seen a deal listed like mine. I was looking for one for 6+ months before i stumbled upon the one i bought.

Good luck!!

Thanks. I've been searching for around 2 months now. It really seems like the BMW dealers do not negotiate with their CPOs. They'd rather lose a potential customer then budge on price. Just wondering if you noticed the same thing. I am not looking for a CPO but most of the BMW dealerships end up selling them that way.

Yea..I noticed the same thing with CPO'd 335's. the dealers think they are gold and don't think they should be dropping the price. i have seen ones that do not sell within 2/3 weeks drop in price but when you inquire about them, they say its the lowest price, even though they are having issues selling it.

The same old stuff was on autotrader/cars.com so i started venturing onto other branded dealer sites for bmw trade-ins.
