well today is the day i join the ENGINE MALFUNCTION club!
freakin service didnt want to take my car in without an appointment until i told them it died twice last night! lol

i made it to 12770 miles
fuel pump failure? who knows but i think its safe to say it is
long cranks for months now...and it died twice upon start up last night. i was down at Atlantic City for 3 days so maybe since it was sitting in the garage also added to it

got an 09 328i e90 with 1100 miles on it! not even broken in. and yes, the 328 is a mad fun car!

lol we really should have an Engine Malfunction Check In thread around here haha

He drives a 328. It might be the regular fuel pump but it's not a HPFP.

Thanks, Mike.

i've been driving it for the past two weeks with the "service engine soon" warning. the CEL was only thrown like twice. i've had reduced power every three days or so. i never went outta my way to schedule an appointment.

you can definitely drive it. i'm going to.

btw, i'm at 45,5xx miles for some perspective. last time i replaced my hpfp was around 20k i believe.

it was just long cranks. they started off not too bad but now they got really bad till the light came on. i knew it was a symptom but didnt want to waste the time to get it checked out for HPFP. i would had rather waited for the light to go off
