What state do you despise driving through?

If any?

For me its got to be Virginia. In the last 10 years, the ONLY tickets I have had, have been in the communistwealth of Va.

Even got a tint ticket there (and I live and am registered in NC! lol)

I used to live there actually... now pass through or go to Va about 5 times a year...

Never have I met such condecending, flat out rude and holier than thou law enforcement than in Virginia. State storm troopers....

Funny thing is I travel to PA alot, and there are alot of police officers that participate in the hobby I am involved in that takes me there. From what i hear from them (many of them are NY state/city and PA cops) the Va troopers are NOT well liked at all, as they dont offer any "professional courtesy" to other LEO's.

I found that interesting....

Im curious as to what other states people hate to drive in (never really driven any further west than texas- and never had a single problem from Texas to New York other than Virginia).

God, NEW JERSEY. They're all crazy, don't use signals, tailgate like crazy, aren't paying attention, always talking on their phones.

I can agree with this - the road surfaces suck, but Ive never had an issue with the law there.

Never had a problem with law enforcement (knocks on wood) I've only had 1 speeding ticket in 12 years of driving... But when passing through VA I always slow down and maybe only do 5mph over the speed limit... I was watching TV, and they (VA) got cops hiding in the bush with a radio, and they clock you and report you to a waiting cruiser to pull you over... NO thank you...

Not only do they hide in bushes on foot, but they also use cessnas...

I mean really... thats a little over the top, isnt it? lol

PS Va is the ONLY state in the nation (Dc doesnt count, its a city) that I know of where radar detectors are illegal. Not that this stops me from running mine..

I've had had much issue with out of state cops/law enforcement, but I've heard from others about Virginia.

As far as driving and scenery, Florida blows. Sure, the beach and ocean are nice to look at for a little bit, but it seems to be generally poor drivers, flat and straight, and too f'n hot when I've been.
