Steering Wheel Thicknesses
Which of the Steering Wheels (M3, M-Tech and Performance) is thicker. I'd like to change our my stock wheel and looking for a nicer, thicker one. My other option is to have one custom made. Has anyone else done that and if so, who did you use?

I dont think they are the same thickness - My 06 had the sport pack (330i) and my 09 has the M-sport pack and the msport wheel defintely seems thicker for sure.

Prob because your 330 is the older model. your not comparing apples to apples. I have a m3 wheel and my buddy (udubager) has a mtech they're both the same.

The M3 wheel is thickest ... I have the tri-stitched one and I love it. So much better then my stock sport package one. I also have the DCT paddles ….

Your 335 is the newer evolution of your 330. Of course everything is gonna be bigger better on it. Comparing a sports wheel on a older version to the newer version isn't equal. The 335 is gonna have a bigger wheel.

It's like $350 or something at Tischer. Don't remember the exact price, but they have it and its somewhere in that ballpark.
The regular Sport (ZSP) wheel is not as thick as the Mtech/Msport (ZMP) or M3. As for Mtech vs M3, not sure if they are the same thickness or one is thicker than the other

A number of us got our steering wheels from a seller called qalbeli on eBay. I just got my tri-stitched perforated wheel about a month ago for US$360 including shipping. It only took 6 days to arrive. The only catch is that they don't include an airbag bracket, so if you're swapping from a non-ZSP wheel to any other wheel, you're out of luck as the bracket is not sold separately. But if you already have the ZSP wheel, then everything can transfer over. I was almost tempted to get one that he also sells that has perforated sides, alcantara top and bottom and tri-colour stitching but decided it wouldn't match anything else in my car.
