Help 335i Has Huge Problem
Ok i have a e90 and today i was being a complete fool and i hit a curb on the passenger side of my car... the rear wheel is now slanted and i obviously cannot drive the car anymore without going out of control because i think it is sort of riding on only 3 wheels now.. Idk whats the problem. i know i will need a repair shop but i sort of want to know what im getting into here..
Basically... the problem is that the rear wheel of the passenger side is slanted and when i took the wheel off the look, there was a bar that was bent so could anyone input their knowledge? anything will help... |

Can you post some pictures? It sounds pretty bad. You might need a new wheel.

bmw fanatic,
i know its hard to beleive but yes it was.. unfortunetly... ive had this car for only a little over a week and i decided to turn off DTC... long story short, i ended up smacking a curb hard and then barely counter steering to get into control. Definetly a lesson learned for life and will make me a more cautious driver.. |

damn.. well at least there were no injuries!
if the wheel+tires not bent then you could pay somebody a couple hundred to make the wheel look like new and obviously you still gotta replace/repair the suspension bar |

im gonna leave the tires be.. i was actually thinking of aftermarket wheels soon and maybe i will use these tires as my track tires if i ever end up tracking.. a track would of been smarter to turn of DTC on.. haha.
Ah this new suspension bar is gonna be such a pain.. |

That suspension can't be good. Your experience is a lesson to the wise: the 335i turns into a wild ride with the DSC off! I've too had some close calls when fishtailing and roasting the tires...

except i was driving on black ice and lost control and did 2 360s and bounced of the median divider and the rear smacked the curb. Broken rear axl and suspension bits. some more damage in the front. total was about 9k, but rear only was about half of that. |

Yeah, it is definitely going to be a lot more than $400... probably more like $4,000 (at a dealer). Cheaper if done outside. You may want to use your insurance for it. Best of luck.
