CDV and Clutch Question

Hi guys,

Just curious about the feel of the clutch compared to other bmws. I have driven many different cars and there is a huge difference on the feel of the clutch, more with the e46 m3 which is stiff as hell. I am wondering if the clutch is suppose to feel soft (pushing the pedal and friction point) Just curious because I did buy the car used and I am wondering if I am just over reacting. I will be doing the CDV install this weekend, and from my past car I know that there will be a huge difference, but does anyone know how long a install should take if I dont feel like doing it myself?

Yes the clutch is soft as hell compared to earlier models. Good for stop n go traffic but I'd prefer it somewhat stiffer.
