E90 LCI 335i (Engine Temp)

Guys - the other day I went on a road trip and experienced a slight rise in engine temp. Normally, temp gauge stays just one notch under 250 F, however, I was driving through some mountaneous area for about 15-20 min and the gauge started climbing to 250 and I was like.....oh no, overheat???
good thing mountain drive only lasted about 15 min, otherwise I was afraid it would go over 250 F.

I had four adult passengers and had the AC running.

is this something I should be concerend with?

thanks. JKK

No. Normal operating temperatures are ~250. Overheating occurs around 300.

Yup, it runs hot. I was freaking out last Summer. Nothing to worry about though.

Guys - Thanks for the reply.

but it seemed like it would of gone over 250 if I kept going up the mountain drive.

anyways, thanks for the comfort.

I've been at 280 for over 45 minutes, no issue. My car runs hot even on cooler day (always near 240-250). I have 52k on it and it hasn't overheated yet.
