Exhaust idea: input appreciated
So with my car going in for some body work, I'm thinking I should kill a few birds with one stone and do suspension, DPs, and exhaust all at once. I'm tired of waiting for the AMS exhaust so I was thinking of this setup:
-AR Design catted DPs -Custom dual exhaust, 3" pipe -Retain secondary cats (I know it hurts performance, my choice) -X pipe -No muffler I'm thinking that between the turbos and cats the exhaust shouldn't be too loud. Not having any muffler should save weight and might even be lighter than the AMS system not to mention it should be very free flowing. The X pipe is in there to cancel out drone, though I haven't found a good resourse as to where in the system it needs to be. What do you guys think? |

I don't know if there is room to do dual 3" pipe. Why go that big anyways?
AR pipes for sure! No x-pipe. Put some resonators to help with the drone. What suspension you going with?

Good catch, dual 2.5" then? I'm thinking of KW Street Comforts but I'm pretty open at this point. I've heard amazing things about the Koni FSD/Eibach combo.

KW V1 is just as good as V2 or V3 unless you are planning to fine tune to your preferences. Unless you are on the GT circuit I think KW V1 lowered past stock a bit and properly corner balanced will be fine and not too expensive.

Try some Aero AR20 resonators to get rid of the design. Great choice with the AR design Dp's.

Here are some pictures. I changed the system a bit. Now the 2.5" goes almost to the bend before it starts to convert to 3" and its almost 12" long now. This system sounds amazine. MANY compliments on the sound. Inside the car its really quiet. Im actually going to look into have another muffler made only smaller to see if it sounds a little louder. |
