Problem when entering very steep driveway... not scraping (differential?)

Guys,
Every once in a while I need to enter a determined driveway (very steep).

I approach it at an angle and I believe I have been always able to enter and exit it without scraping anything (normally asking passengers to temporarily get out if I have any).

I suspect that one of the rear wheels lifts from the ground during a brief moment as I have heard it slip (plus a brief noise from the rear, maybe diff?) those 2-3 times I have had to enter this damned driveway. This may be caused by the stiff chassis.

I am always going uber slow, but those 2-3 episodes have left a concern in my mind. I take good care of her and the idea that I might have caused some premature wear in the drivetrain really bothers me, regardless of warranty.

I was wondering if some of you guys experienced anything similar, what you suggest I try and what you think happened exactly when I experienced those 'unpleasant entrances'.

Thanks in advance!

-Walter

look at the bottom of your exhaust tips, I bet you'll find scratches on one or both.

And Maybe the bottom of your exhaust (actually muffler). Thats probably the lowest point in the rear?

Maybe your suspension is just creaking because it's extending fully. What kind of noise is this? Where's it coming from exactly? I wouldn't think an occasional wheel lift would mess up your differential.

Guys,
Thanks for the replies.

Exhaust tips not scraped, haven't checked mufflers yet (I hope not!).

I would hope not. The noise came from the rear, it's a nasty noise but not too loud. Hard to describe, especially because I am too busy making terrified faces while glazing at all mirrors and looking out of both windows with my torso nearly sticking out... that's why I was hoping for someone that might have experienced a similar thing to read this and give me a better idea on what happens exactly and perhaps how to avoid this.

I am already entering at an angle to avoid scraping the body (I suspect the M Sport kit is lower than stock, too)... I can't think of any other way, save trying to enter at less of an angle with someone outside telling me if I have clearance, because the wheel spin/diff noise is caused by the angle for sure.
