with a little struggle with the vent, i got it done. not bad at all.

Most states prohibit the use of rear fog lamps when visibility is greater than 1/4 mile or 100 yards or similar distance. They're only occasionally useful, but when they are they're *really* useful. Think daylight grey-out fog or rainstorms, where the normal tail lamps aren't bright enough to be visible from very far away.

Exactly! We get maybe 1 day of thick fog here per year, so that's pretty much the reason why I activated mine with the lightswitch mod.
