Ballpoint Pen Mark on Leather
There is a ballpoint pen stain/mark on my saddle brown leather. What is a safe way to remove this stain.
Thanks! |

Ink on leather is tough. Once it soaks in, there isn't much that can be done so it is important you get to it quickly.
Please try the following suggestions in an inconspicuous place first, weird things can happen with chemicals on leather but these should do the trick: Try some Dawn hand soap on an MF cloth or some rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip. I've also heard hairspray works. You will ideally want to condition the leather after doing any of this.

You can also give Leathers Masters Strong Cleaner a try. Leather Masters gives some great results. Follow that up with Leather Masters Vital then Protection Cream. Phil should be able to set you up if you can't find it locally.
Also if you have woolite with a dillution ratio of 8:1 you can attack the ball point pen area. I have had success using P21S TAW with a 10:1 dilluted ratio. Make sure to flush the area with water to get rid of any residue. Then follow up with your favourite conditioner and protectant. Cheers, Nick |

Yo, when i bought my car it had 2 ink pen marks on the passenger seat. They both were pretty big. Due to my car sitting in the Florida sun during the day; I use Meguiar's to clean and condition the seats approximately once or twice a month. By the second or third time the pen marks were gone.
