Splitting window trim

Hey everybody, on my 328i, the window trim on the rear passenger side door has come loose. I found that entire trim is two pieces, a short bit at the back of the car, then a longer piece extending from the mirror to the rear window.

Well the connection between the two parts is loose and now there is a pretty big gap, about 1.5 centimeters.

I am going to take it to the dealer for replacement.

I was wondering, could i upgrade to chrome window trim?

They are going to have to order new parts anyways, so do you guys think that the dealership would allow me to pay some extra cash to get chrome trim instead?
