Seattle Area modded 1'ers, what are you doing for service/oil changes?
Hey all, those of you 1'ers in the Seattle area that are modded (tune, intake, BOV, intercooler, downpipes, catback, suspension,... ect) what are you doing when it comes to service time and/or oil changes?
Which do you remove and which do you keep on the car? I only have 3000 miles on the car so far. I'm hoping to bring my car in before 5k miles for my first oil change and currently have a few mods on my car. Should I remove these for a simple oil change? Should I remove them when service time comes? Also, which dealer are you guys going to for these? Are any more mod-friendly than another in this area? -Edit, I do have the BAV technics cable, so tuner codes shouldn't be a problem. Anyone who needs to use it also, shoot me a PM and I'll be glad to let a fellow NW'er use it. Last edited by pnguyen1028; 03-16-2010 at 06:24 PM.. |

It is amazingly easy to do your own oil change. I have done three now and my car only has 8500 miles. It only takes about 10 minutes. I would change it ASAP, my first one at 1000 was pretty shiny, I posted pics in another thread months ago. I have not taken my car in yet, Strictly BMW installed my Dinan tune but since Seattle BMW is also a Dinan dealer that is where I plan to take it. The only thing I plan to remove is my BMS Dual Cone intake.
