Offer to fellow Bostonians

For a while I was in an apartment without my car in a garage, and no place to wash my car. I put out a thread and some members responded with offers to let me use their driveway/hose to wash my car properly. It gets incredibly frustrating not being able to wash your car (esp. a new bmw), and washing it in three minute intervals at the self service car wash, being kicked out of the self service car washes for using buckets (even when there were no other cars there), etc.

Long story short, my gf and I just moved to a new incredible place. I have a garage, a good long driveway, a hose to use, I bought a shopvac, etc. It's simply incredible. I want to return the favor and say that if people need a place to come wash, vaccuum, detail, their cars without the hassle of pumping quarters into a machine, and the luxury of sound from my $20 boombox from walmart, feel free to contact me..

Thanks to everyone who extended offers in the day..
J49

PS. I should be around a lot the next couple of weekends (I want to try and get my car Zaino'd over the three day weekend)...

What a generous offer!...it is things like these that help foster the feeling of community that is e90post

When I find myself in your neck of the woods, in need of a wash, I'll be sure to give you a call

edit: I meant the car

That's very nice of you!

It's funny that when you have all the right tools, people will just show up with their cars. On any given weekend (so long as it isn't raining) there is usually a line of 3-5 cars in my driveway waiting for a wash. For me it's my family that shows up and then we grill out and make a fun day of it.

That'd be awesome. I have to go out and buy a grill for my new place when I get a chance, I'll definitely have to get that mod done before you guys come out here..

That's cool! Congrats on the new digs. If you're not doing anything next weekend, we have the Boston Chapter Autocross event #7, if you want to stop by, or even run (if you're a CCA member). I can even take you out in my e90 on the course, if ya want.

That offer goes out to all you guys (and gals).

Nice! I, too, have no access to a hose / outdoor area to wash my car.. took my car to automated car wash today.. result was ok, still has some bugs from my last road trip.

Had a friend offer their driveway but it is a long narrow driveway and they bang up their van there b4 so I passed..

Enjoy your new place.

Hey KL2DC - I can spot you a wash in Tampa if you're interested.

Ini, how's it going. First off, this is an awesome offer, I thought about this a lot, and I might swing by that way on Saturday if the weather is nice, to see more about this.. Second, I have done some thinking, and I think I am interesting in becoming a CCA member. I looked at the website some, it looks good...

Anyhow, just wanted to say thanks again for the offer. Talk to you soon, Josh

Awesome! Hope to see you there. The Boston Chapter does a lot of fun stuff. Autocross is just one of them. I hope that if you join, you'll have as much fun as I do.

Anybody else want to come on over with Josh?

We have a Test & Tune event in a couple of months that is a great event for anybody who wants to test out what their car can do, improve their driving skills, and have fun with a lot of fellow BMW enthusiasts in a completely non-competitive environment. Hope you guys can make it.
