Clunky sound from exhaust @startup

Alrite fellas... I've 07 335i coupe... my car is making clunky noise at startup... its coming from the rear of the car... prob. exhaust... I also notice is at other times driving around... i took it in to the dealer and he states its the vaccum in the exhaust and its normal for this car... so no repairs were offered. Are any of you also experiencing this or he was BSing me... lol... ?
