BMS Intake triggered TPM Malfunction??

Hi Guys, I'am new here. Been reading up on the forums for a while but this is my first actual post. I recently bought a 2007 335i with 9k miles on it and installed the BMS dual cone intake.

The install went fine, but after 10 to 15 miles the TPM malfunction light came on.

I'am really confused since I thought the sensors were on the tires. Anyone have any ideas on what I should be checking? I tried resetting it through though the Navi with no luck.

Thanks in advance!
Lee

This is an M3-specific forum, you won't get much help here.

The e9x Turbo / FI Engine and 335i -335d Tuning section can be found here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=58

No way an intake is setting of your tire pressure sensor.

And yea, this is a place for the M-Trays.

No it did not cause your TPM problem. Fill your tires up or ride it out for a day. Mine sometimes sticks even after filling my tire up and won't reset for a half day.

damn the M3 guys were all over you for such a simple question.

there is simply no way an intake triggered your low tire pressure sensor.

maybe the intake was sucking air so hard that pushed the car down and triggered the TPM code? :-) seriously .. how can an intake trigger that...

thanks!

Thanks for all the information guys, I haven't had a chance to check the tires but now that I look at it the front left tire looks a bit low, ill try filling her up. Maybe the hard driving I was doing after I installed the intake cause a tire to lose some air . I know which thread to use now lol, sorry for the inconvenience.
