My air conditioner stopped working!!

Hey just wondering if this has happened to anyone or if this can be related to the other E92 platforms as the actual airconditioning unit should be the same.
Everything turns on and if you leave it on for awhile you can tell the condensor is still working as the belts are still driving it when it is turned on.
Not a pulley problem as it is all active and switched to stock and back without a problem there.

My first initial guess is that the actual blower motor is broken/defective. Everything is on all connections are right, it just doesn't blow out any air. NOt on cold or hot settings no air comes out.

Any BMW techs or junkies have any ideas? I'm hoping for anyone that can provide some engine bay pictures and provide me with which cable connections to check and what lines and belts etc etc to be absolutely sure before I take it to the dealer.
Maybe I could even try checking the fuses, but since everything turns on, I didn't think that was a problem

Thanks for any help in advance guys

if you get no air hot or cold just the blower is not working it could be the ihka unit, a blown fuse, or a blower motor...tough to diag without the car in front of me..

Thanks for the response, first thing I replaced were the fuses which was easiest to do and that wasn't it

Took it in and I just got a new blower part and its all fine, guess I just had a bad one as this was fixed early on with the AC in the first batch of 2006 E90's

My ac just stopped working today. But I get air blowing, just not cold air. Heat works fine. Any ideas? I have an 8am apt to take her in. Should i be removing my "modmynav" unit before taking it in? I can't see them claiming this is the cause...

I had this issue. I removed the cover for the AC unit and made sure none of the wires were crimped - it then worked fine. Who knows if this was the cause but it never returned.

Just checked, and if thats the area your talking about no wires are crimped or anything. This really sucks and I am really worried about them claiming the front and rear camera system causing a problem... I dont know.

Main cause of A/C failure in all cars is a rock chip hitting the condenser exactly at the right (or wrong?) spot . I always do this to my new cars asap (fiberglass screen):

Besides preventing most condenser failures, it also doesn't allow bugs to clog condenser/radiator over time. Well worth the effort.
