-- Last PhotoShoot of J86 AW E92 335i (Advans/Alcons/Vorsteiner CF/M-Aero)
Thanks to my friends Kev Yong (http://www.flickr.com/photos/kevinyongphoto) and Jordan Fok (http://www.jordanfok.com/blog.html) for taking these pics just before I sold my E92 335i on Sunday...
I will be getting an E36 M3 and making it a dedicated track car since the E92 335i gave me nothing but limp modes my last track day [POS dme, not blaming any tuner] nonetheless, the 335i was a very good daily driver... also, we all know that sooner or later the turbos, wastegate, VANOS, and HPFP will die on you and especially if I am tracking, I drive down from Vancouver,BC Canada To Kent,WA, USA to Pacific Raceways, it would definately suck if one of those F**Ked up on me = Towing car home = Expensive Bill. The E36 M3 is a much more solid car in every way for tracking. The n54 turbo setup was a failure IMO, brand new $50,000+ CDN car with all these engine problems = WTF Bye to everyone @ E90post, I will be on Bimmerforums just like Sniz (e92 335i -> e36 m3) **PS: it was also nice driving down to Bimmerfest 09 and hanging out with the SoCal members! I will be back next year with the E36 M3 :P Peace! Last edited by jeho; 06-23-2009 at 10:08 AM.. |

IMHO, the extra expense for an E46 M3 is worth it.
I bought an E36 M3 3.0 Euro version first as it was a lot cheaper. I don't know if the car is too old or just the chasis sucks, but after a number of mods, the car just never felt that great for me. The steering wheel is too big, or maybe the steering rack ratio was not nice, it just never felt that great. Took it to the track, posted a laptime that I was not happy about...ended up selling it. Got an E46, and just love that car so much more! You feel everything at the track...you can easily control the tail with the throttle, cause you can FEEL it. Everything is just so much better with the E46...! Anyway, good luck, your E92 looks really good, those photos make me miss Vancouver even more!

Good lookin car! These cars weren't built with track duty in mind, imo, its a highly refined, quick daily driver that has TT, which inevitably allows for a huge aftermarket following. Good choice on getting the e36 m3 for track duty!

e36 m3 is not downgrade. it's a car in it's own league. if u never owned one u will never understand. i had one and sold it. Now, i am thinking down the road i will have to pick up one for sure.
