I've just signed up.

A bit too much advertsing & space wasting for my liking, but I'll have a look.

I'm on there, but don't visit all that often.

The layout and class of member is better over here!

Yep I drop in there every now and again as do some other e90post members.

It's an interesting forum, but it's also very big and varied (all BMW's) so in that respect I think it lacks the 'community' aspect of e90post.com.

I also hang around on there from time to time - legacy of having my E46. Generally find them a helpful bunch - and as a few have been off to Nurburgring this weekend I'll be checking in today to see how it went. Would love to takle my car but not sure what the lease company would think!

OI!!

I've been a member since September 2004, a very good mate of mine being a moderator.

It's a good site, generally friendly people and a large amount of knowlege on all things BMW.

Isleaiw - trust you've seen my Nurburgring write up on BMWland.
Mad weekend - totally mad!

In that case, be nice to me - I'm new on there (same user name)

Did you go to the Nurb with your car? Post the link.

It is a good site, it's more the community feeling that gets me hanging out here more. I tend to dip in to BMWland every so often, or if I I'm looking at a particular problem.

I have indeed - crap day at work so it was the best thing to look forward to this morning!

I love cars but I'm not sure I could spend ther money an M3 costs and then go and treat it like that - call me an accountant, but I'd be thinking of the cost / damage to car etc

Think going as a passenger sounds best way!

Thumbs up

Will have a look at the site, but I am settled on here now.

There may not be too many people hanging around on the UK section, but there is a good vibe round here and I enjoying this forum greatly.

Very friendly knowledgable people and very informative .. picked up loads if info and I haven't even got the car yet

Hi 1stNC.

No I didn't take my car, but I might take it next time just to run around in. That way I could get some decent photos of the others at various vantage points. As I didn't have a car this time, I was always stuck in one place.

Mind you - co. car will be going nowhere near the circuit itself!!

Having read the thread and watched the vid - I wish I'd joined (the forum) earlier so I could have had the pleasure. Oh well, maybe next year?

Based solely on an initial visit to the site, I prefer this forum.

It's a little easier here, knowing who your 'friends' are & knowing the 'feel' of the forum.
It just makes a visit here a whole lot friendlier & entertaining.

I'd never have met the other members at UK1, if it were not for this forum.
I think it's been quite a privilege for me to have met such great people, who I pretty well think of as my friends now.

...this sounds like an awards acceptance speech & I think I'm going to cry...

Viv

PS- you'd all better turn up to UK2, or else that 'friends' bit will be wiped clean!
