91 Octane Dynos ONLY *POST HERE*

We've all seen the 100 octane 400whp+ dynos...

I think this will be helpful for all the CA guys who want to see what people put down on daily driven 91 octane pump gas. I think this will also help compare different mods by taking the octane variable out.

I'll start it off...

Location: Dyno was done at MD automotive in Westminster.

Conditions: 68 degrees with 85% humidity (slight drizzle). Couldn't ask for a better day to dyno.

Mods: 91 Octane, JB3 1.3 Map 3, BMS DCI, Active Autowerke IC, AR catless DPs

Overall looks good, but next time start the runs around 1800rpm. Loading it up at 1000rpm in 4th gear with lagfix can induce that torque spike. Also it seems the tach signal is dropping out, plot power by MPH instead of RPM to see.

Here is a comparison chart of stock IC vs AA IC (in 8 degrees cooler weather and also 30% more humidity).

Oh.. And before and after ets FMIC. I had HUGE TIMING AND KNOCK ISSUES W/ the stock IC w/ my setup. ETS FMIC fixed all those issues!

Even starting the dyno at 1500 rpms you (the OP) still got that big torque spike (that kind of skews the true torque results).
I think Terry should check your map or something, it should not spike up like that at 2500 rpms only to drop quickly afterward. Thats the results we got with the original tunes when we used to do the solenoid bypass.
Your torque should build and be more flat in the 370 rwtq range where it is after that big boost spike.

You can clearly seen the gains of the aftermarket FMIC above 5000 rpms where the stock one is already getting hot and pulling power.

Kryz, your dynos look better to me and your torque numbers are better overall, but you are also still getting a bit of a boost spike around 2500 rpms (maybe that's why the a/f ratio goes off the charts there).
But your power delivery is much better/smoother.

Our graphs actually look pretty similar when scaled the same in winPEP.

Why are you dynoing on map 3 you have all the mods you could've dynoed on map 6 or 7.

Nice dynos! I wonder how Map 5 would have dyno'd with 91 Octane. Lots of folks run Map 3 w/out any mods.

It is just from flooring the car at 1000rpm in 4th on the dyno. The integral builds up and carries the boost past its target. With real word loading, it doesn't happen. Floor the car around 1500-2000rpm when dynoing.
