JB+ Gas Milage
So I just put in my JB+ (at default setting). drove it about 20 miles last night. Then today I drove up to Miami, which i do about twice a month. The crazy thing is that i got on average for the whole trip 33 MPG. And when I had it on Cruise In 6th gear going about 65 i was getting about 36-37 mpg.I usually get like 23-26 average and cruising is about 31. I know it takes like a few days for the JB to adapt and maybe this was just a fluke, but is anyone else with a JB product getting good MPG? I searched around and all i could find was people bitching that it went down with Tunes.

Coincidence....no way a tune, especially the JB+, would net you more mpg, unless the tune was setup specifically for that. People get less mpg because their car is faster and they love pressing the right pedal

I mean, i make the same trip a couple times a month and its the only thing that is different on the car. OR, maybe its the Nitrogen in my tires...

Could also be the difference in winter grade vs summer grade gasoline. Summer formulation usually nets more mpgs in combination with the fact that the car doesn't need as much time to warm up.

Ghines- can you check your mpg average on your display and let me know if you are getting a 99.9 mpg average? This is what mine is reading and the only change is a JB+... Weird I know..if it makes sense.

wow, this was a while back, funny i havent been on here in ages either. when i restart my MPG average it will go to 99.9 for like 2 seconds then to whatever it is at the moment and later average out and not change at all at the end of the tank. if yours is reading 99.9 all the time, then something is wrong with your trip computer and how it calculates fuel. I dont want to sound like a smart ass, but you are driving this right? its not just in the drive way, because you have to drive for it to work. Also to add, i went with procede and im really happy, I can witch back to stock maps and performance maps in the car. I put it in stock and cruised up to miami and it was around 31 mpg through the keys, put it on the performance map and it was 37.7 for 150 miles. Pretty sweet. on the flip side, when i get "spirited" or drive in the city it drops to 17ish. I really just think our cars are made to run at higher boost, BMW really wanted to keep this car below 300.
