I tried searching, no luck on Airbag light

Does anyone know how to clear a RED airbag icon / light on? It was my fault as I unplugged it when I took it off to see if the steering wheel was torqued to spec, (vehicle was off) since I am still getting that wierd side to side feeling and a slight ticking coming from the steering column area?

I tried driving the car for awhile but still on, I know there is nothing wrong with the airbag system, I dont have manual or a scan tool.

IS there anyway to remove it? I havent tried disconnecting the battery yet, since I didnt want to lose all my settings on the radio and such.

The only way I know is with the BT scanner.

BTW Next time disconect the battery first then remove the airbag. You are lucky it didnt go off in your face when you reconected it.

no, I just wanted to see if there was a way, I didnt want to go back to dealer yet, since I am waiting on quotes from detailers 1st.

So thats why I was curious about the light?

I know on domestics they usually have a way to clear codes or a way to reset the system. I am not to familar with foreign cars.

I had no worries about airbag going off, as they are not to easy to trigger as one might think.

But I made a gmc envoy airbag go off, and it was like a shotgun going off, had to do it for a safety test at my job.

What quote then? There should be no cost to "check" why that light is on and then they reset it

well I guess I will have to go to the stealership anyways, this light is annoying as hell and I need them to look at the paint job to verify it is as bad as I am telling them.

Oh yeah, I updated my other thread, but I forgot about this one. I guess when they were looking into WHY my light was on, oops

They said the switch was sticking and ordered another one. So thats cool.
