sqweaky clutch pedal...

so i've had my 128i for about 2 months now, and my clutch pedal has started to make a metal sqweaking noise. it only happens when i'm realeasing the clutch, not when i'm depressing it. It happens right before i let go, within the last 10% of travel. It really sounds like metal springs, which I presume are in use somewhere in the clutch pedal?

Anyone have this same problem, or know what might be causing this, and if so, any easy solutions?

Thanks!

White Grease on the spring attachment points will cure it. Just a little.

Took mine in today for the clutch spring, and the center console. Center console seemed to be making a little more noise then normal. Nice and quiet now.

Had the squeaky clutch pedal problem myself on a 135i. A lot of WD-40 made the problem go away.

I took mine to the dealer. They took all day and replaced the spring. Factory issue.
