Import 1 series 3 door

Hi people...

As from the last thread..., I am having quite a hard time trying to get the M package for the 335... and now that I think about it.. maybe I want a smaller car... and that leaves the 1 series or the z4... but I prefer the 130i, but the 3 door version that they offer in UK... is it possible to ship it over? Apparently the BMW dealer doesnt know all that much...about any of this (or it's just that they want to make a sale and don't want me importing stuff to HK)

i had checked issues regarding 'importing a bmw from Uk'. it was quite expensive. besides the shipping fee, they will charge you the same tax amount like buying a car in hong kong. good luck.

i was from toronto, where were u from? lol

Yo,

I am from Vancouver. The pricing in Hong Kong is ridiculously high, but I miss my cars from Van. Right now I am just MTRing everywhere, and getting used to this place. The same amount of money I spent for a 328 in Vancouver can only get me a E90 06 330i used in Hong Kong. That's BS... but that's the way it is here.

Thanks for your reply man, the Hong Kong forum doesn't seem to be that active

imho, I would say probably too much trouble for its worth. but if you must, you can try to talk to water good car import places to see if they can help. last time I checked, tax is lower for 2nd hand car (but you need to check on the exact detail on the current regulation with the custom dept).

why not just go over budget a bit and get the 135.

135 is all good and what not, but there is the hpfp problem, and also it isn't a 3 door hatch... it's a 5 door hatch (don't really like the look of the coupe...)
