New to BMW club

Hey Guys.

Picked up a 335i PP (luckily he bought it CPO) last week and can not believe I got this goal of my life out of the way relatively easy so far.

Looking to cruise forum boards for tips on maintaining and thriving.

On that note, I need to take out a rock scrape on the hood and a chip here or there.

I found this website for the paint, clear coat, and primer:

https://www.paintscratch.com/cgi-bin/place_order2.cgi

Anyone hear of it?

Basically anyone have a good link for instructions on how to DYI this job, I would like to learn how to care for the car myself as much as I can. I found a great thread at Bimmerfest (http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32625) but all the pics are gone and I am worried trying it blind for the first time. Let me know if you guys have any tips. Thanks in advance!!!

Also you can see the rock scrape in the pic about 6 inches north west of the headlight.

Thanks guys...

Yeah it could have been something else, but it's not crazy deep just deep enough. It's got one part of the scratch that is about 1.25 inches the rest of it is smaller it just reflects poorly in the picture it is actually not too easy to see but for me definitely it is.

I guess I'll give it a go and take it to the dealer if I screw up.

Welcome and Congrats on your 335i !!!

I too am a first time owner of a BMW, and like you have wanted one all my life--I got my SG 325i in January CPO. Loving the color BTW its always good to see another SG driver on the forum

With that said Let the modding begin! (anything in the near future?)

Thanks, yeah CPO is the way to go.

So far as modding, nothing major yet. I need to take care of some minor knicks first, but I might just pay to have it done as I am too worried to do damage myself (we'll see though I will probably try and then pay if I mess up).

After that maybe some black rims and intake. I won't chip it until the cpo warranty is up. Then just as it feels normal I can basically throw that in and go round two with it. Only other thing I can think of is smoking the tail lights. That always looks cool!

Be talking to you!!!
