Neutral to First (1st) Gear Quirck
I'm currently at 35,000 miles and the 2006 BMW 325i is about 3.5 years old.
When at a complete stop at a light, I put my manual shifter into neutral. When the light goes green, I step on the clutch and go to first gear. Most times, it goes to first gear without any problems. Every once in a while, it seems to hit some kind of "wall" trying to go to first with the clutch down and I have to release the clutch and press the clutch again to go into first. I don't remember this happening when I first bought the car. Is this normal to the wear and tear to clutches? |

my 2007 335 had that from when it was new. It sounds like the syncro gears are wearing in a little but I don't think that it's your clutch.

Agreed, probably syncro wear and not the clutch.

Happens to me occasionally as well. I think its fairly normal, as every MT car I've had did that every once and awhile.
