Just received a letter from BMW today...
I just got a letter from BMWNA today saying that they acknowledge problems with the HPFP in "only a small percentage" of cars and that the warranty is being extended to 10 years/ 120,000 miles (whichever comes first). I know this is not really new news, but I haven't heard of anyone getting the letter. The letter makes NO mention of testing the fuel, ethanol or anything else about gas. I would scan the letter, but I am on my way to a party.
P.S. In the letter it calls out all 2007 and 2008 3.0L equipped cars, there is no mention of of specific VINs.

It actually doesn't mention anything about turbo or model numbers, it just says 2007 and 2008 cars equipped with 3.0L engine. I thought only the N54 had the HPFP (335, 535).

thats what i thought too which is why i was interested. thats a pretty good added bonus if it is for the NA cars too. i would say the car should hold a little more value with a bigger warranty.

The NA cars do not have an HPFP because they are not Direct Injection. Only the N54 on the 335 is DI.
