If $80/month difference matters that much to you, should you be looking at such expensive cars ?

You should be buying a car you want (and can afford) dont let the price make the decision for you, especially that little of an amount in the whole scheme of things.

The M Sport edition is great. Awesome car. What I'm trying to figure out is how someone still in school, (assume 18-22) can afford a 50-65K car. When I was in school, I didn't even have a car. No way to afford even the insurance. You mention it's out of pocket the extra 80 bucks. What do you do during school to afford a $800- $1000 car payment every month?

I'm just super curious. I've been working really hard all my life to now finally be able to afford such a nice car.

I wonder that same thing, nearly every post I see, every picture with crazy bodywork I see on here. When I was 20, I had a beater, there was no way I was going to be able to afford a 50K car. Amazes me!

the 335 for sure and with a tune is much faster than a CLK550... not to mention the new mercedes Coupe is coming out shortly and the CLK's will just look old!!

335 for sure. Your CLK will look dated in less than 6 months when the new E Coupe comes. For that alone you should get the 335.

damn, if $80 is that big a deal, i honestly wouldnt even consider getting either of these cars.
sure, you'll be flossin' in your bimmer or benz, but shit, you cant afford a full tank of gas to cruise in. i would rather buy a nice mk5 GTI or something in that price range and have the left over cash to actually enjoy life with.

I wouldn't recommend both of those cars if you're still in college because once you drive these cars, nothing else will feel up to par so you'll be constantly buying expensive top end cars whereas if you drive an accord or camry or something, you won't be disapointed for your next car which you can move up a little.

Buy it if you can run to mummy for money every month. Iam 18 and i would hate it if my car makes me look much wealthier than i actually am.

BTW: A member called Mandeep has an SRX and a CTS he wants to let go for cheap, pm him for a good deal.

No kidding! I was thinking the same thing. It's sad that people piss away their money just to look good and have the latest and greatest. If mommy and daddy are paying for it, then it's a different story. Still not right, but a different story.

335 all the way!

First of all, stock vs stock CLK isn't faster. Second of all, this is the last year they are making this model (that's why they're selling them for so cheap). Do you want to be driving an old model car which isn't produced anymore? Lastly, I think this car is crap. Wouldn't even consider buying it for this price 2-3 years ago.

Maybe he should just ride a bicycle until he can afford a Ferrari so that way he's not dissappointed with anything in between????? C'mon man!

"How do you afford a 50K car?"

"Mommy and daddy.....blah blah blah."

Who honestly gives a shit how he can afford it.... amazes me how people get on here and bitch.

Honestly dude, congrats on your next car. 335i wins hands down for me, but it's your call. Good luck with school.

I understand what youre saying, but how can he get on here and talk about buying a $70k car and then let $80 be the determining/contributing factor on which one he buys...thats where all the comments start to come in...cause I said the same thing..if you can afford a $70k car, then the 80 bucks a month shouldnt be an issue, regardless of how youre paying for it..

if thats the case maybe we should lower our price range that we are buying in?? Just my two cents

I'd go for the 335 on looks and weight alone. BMWs are heavy but I've always thought Mercedes takes the pork cake. I've never driven a CLK but all Mercedes I have driven just seem like overweight hogs to me, no matter how fast/powerful they are.

That said, I don't even want to know what the insurance premiums for a sub-25 year old will be for such an expensive new high-powered car, but you might need that extra $80 unless someone else is paying for insurance.
