FS: Billy Boat e90 335i exhaust (Sport Version - Section 3 only - Used)
Hand polished mufflers w/ 4" tips. Only on the car for under 2k miles. No visible signs of wear - it really appears just as good as new. Includes adapter, clamps, installation instructions and cool R&D drawing. Lease is ending soon so it's time for us to part ways. Asking $650 shipped Here's the marketing blurb . . . Billy Boat Performance Exhaust, the manufacturer of complete automotive exhaust assemblies, is the worlds' source for BMW exhaust systems.. Precision crafted using 100% T-304 stainless steel and mandrel bending, this exhaust system is manufactured as a direct bolt-on replacement for the factory system. By utilizing the factory mounting locations this system requires absolutely no cutting, welding, or modifications for installation. All Billy Boat Performance Exhaust systems come complete with mounting hardware and are direct replacement for stock exhaust systems. Attention to detail in manufacturing means easy installation. No machining. No down time. Just a faster, better sounding, better looking and more muscular BMW. Using our in-house Dyno-jet dyno, each BMW exhaust kit is designed for the best possible performance and sound combination, while retaining all the factory mounting locations. Skilled craftsmen incorporate high quality materials and use modern equipment to fabricate each system, ensuring proper fit and performance. Video below is not my ride, but the BB promotional video. Based on that video, you're right - but it doesn't do it justice b/c I can easily set off car alarms in my parking garage. Maybe I didn't do myself any favors by posting it . I'll try to record my own.
My take is that it is not as loud as the muffler delete (but then again, what is?) but is much more refined with less drone. And compared to stock, it provides a much deeper, louder exhaust note. Last edited by wadgras44; 05-21-2009 at 02:33 PM.. |

Nice system...
They're here locally and I was actually looking at the touring becaus it has a butterfly that works directly with the stock system. The sports will be an easy cut and clamp install and they sound really good and no drone at all even with AT. If you were selling touring I would buy it right now. bump. |

er, sport is left touring right.
boils down to the butterfly valve using stock vacume and cross over pressure regulation... Touring performs a lot like stock. They really sound nice. better than the sample. |
