Vishnu Procede Piggyback Chip
I've got my vishnu procede 1.47 here for sale from my 335i. $100 shipped and without a doubt the best bang for your buck mod out there; especially at this price. Will safely add approximately 50whp to your 135i or 335i.
If you're in Brisbane area, i'd even be happy to help you install it. Comes with everything, including the invoice (was over $2000). The install instructions are on youtube. Last edited by MFKN3; 09-30-2009 at 10:59 PM.. |

Let me know if you want it mate, even if for a short time and you plan to upgrade down the track. There is an instruction video on the install floating around on you tube.

I'd say the 1.47 would take you 10mins to install after removing the covers. It's pin-out which I assume is pretty similar to the AA. You do need to do a solenoid bypass with this version but that is not hard as you'd most likely be aware. There is an install video on you-tube somewhere that makes it very easy, Jarrod found it easily enough. You'd probably want to ensure your client has the early proceed user software and appropriate maps & firmware on their laptop when you do it & datalog after installation to ensure boost levels are okay. Cheers, S |

Thank you for the info and advice. I had a phone call this week and the guy said that he would get you to contact me when you have time. I'd like to chat with you when you do have time regarding Proceed products.

Yup. Keep in mind it's V1, but if you get it, Vishnu can sell you the wiring harness to upgrade it to V3 (non canbus). This means you could run all the latest maps, but not have the canbus features like resetting codes, etc.

$100 shipped, I want this gone!! You couldn't manufacture it for that
Will safely add approx 50whp to you 335 or 135. An extra $375usd and you can upgrade this to latest V3 maps making this a very attractive mod. http://www.vishnutuning.com/bmw_v3harness.htm |

man, that's tempting.
What's the difference between the 1.47 + the harness upgrade and the new CANBUS one? From what I have read: 1. error clearing 2. timing adjustment 3. boost protection when the engine is cold. The price is great, less than a round of drinks, but on a brand new car, I don't want to take a risk. |

1.47 did adjust timing. 1.47 does not override the cars own 'cold/hot' protection but like the JBx's it still adds more boost than called for when stock. 1.47 requires a solenoid bypass so as to be able to raise the boost and not cause errors 1.47 boost control is not as smooth / stable as later versions 1.47 requires tapping of all wires, later versions are PnP which is safer and easier to install I don't think there are any new 1.47 maps now You'd be better getting a new unit locally IMHO. To upgrade is going to be difficult & probably costly. |

Yup, that's pretty much it.
Running this 1.47 alone would be similar to a tt or basic JB. I highly recommend upgrading this to Rev 1 V3 by purchasing the $370us upgrade PnP harness. This will then be identical to Rev 2 V3 (canbus) except you won't have the goodies like map changing from the dash, error reading, etc as this is only for Rev2 users. That makes this option under $600. |
