Dealership plugged the actuator back in when i took it in for a fuel pump....

I took my 09 335i in because it had a faulty fuel pump...and they plugged the actuator back in that i took out in the trunk (golf tee mod)..they did not mention it to me but i noticed the car sounded very quiet..anyway..i thought this was very weird..anyone else experience this?

They probably thought it was disconnected from the factory, and thought they were doing you a favor.

Did you unplug the hose or the wiring harness for the actuator? Undoing the wiring will throw a code, so they need to plug it back in to pass all the GT1 diagnostics.... If the plugged the hose back in, that's a little odd but not really surprising.

if u unplugged it, this is not the "golf tee mod"

If you unplug the actuator it sets a fault, thus they would not give you the car back with the fault present. DO NOT UNPLUG THE ACTUATOR!!!

accord to some dyno, unplugging the vacuum hose without sealing the opening of the hose will result in some power loss from the engine.

There is absolutely no way that leaving the hose loose would cause a horsepower loss.
