DIY c/o installers what's the quickest time for installing c/o's?
I got my H&R c/o's already and have a tight schedule on saturday. i may have access to my friend's lift at his shop with full air tools and pro spring compressor etc. How long do you estimate that it would take? Bear in mind that i've done installs on Audi Quattro Cars (most challenging) and helped on previous gen BMW's.
The best time i've done on c/o installs have been 3 hrs on the audi's. I know that the BMW's are way more simplistic in engineering (audi tends to over engineer their crap). You think i can get it done between 2-3 hours? |

agreed, i'm putting it off till next weekend.
My buddy did a spring install and it took him a bit over 2hrs...he said it was a PITA to do the front because the suspension was similar to the M5 |

Fronts are fairly simple the rear shocks and springs are a PITA.
Front -1hour per side = 2 hours Rears- 1hour30min per side = 3hours 5 hours total. |

With professional tools (including compressor) you could be done in no time. My swap took a long time because I was farting around with the manual spring compressor.

I had the reversed experience. The rears took me about 1 hr, the fronts about 1.5 hr. total 2.5
Should have been better if I had all the tools. |

Dude... right tools, right KNOWLEDGE about your car... 2-3 hours tops...
BUT... I live by this one saying, above many: "If you don't have time to do it right the first time, how are you going to find time to do it again?" |

Didn't know you were in here too. Guess you already did the install. Was it a PITA? Is it the same on a E92? /Martin.
