Just bought 17 gallons of paint at Lowes

Some of you know that I just purchased a fairly large home recently and my wife has been making me squander a lot of cash on home improvements. We went to Lowes today to look at paint swatches and noticed that they were having a sale on Olympic Premium paints. $20 off 5 gallons and $5 off 1 gallon. Right now we only know the color we want to paint the living areas, kitchen, master bedroom, and 2 of the bathrooms.....so I bought all this paint to get us started.

Spent about $400 bucks, but will get $80 back on rebates.

It used to be 12, but I haven't played much over the last 2 years since I moved back to Texas. I played last weekend, par on 1 and then wasn't sober through the remainder of the round. I was probably at 90, but stopped keeping score at the turn.

Thanks. It's been a long process. I had a project house since January, but abandoned it for a larger house, which wasn't even the one I ended up buying.

The wife loves painting, so while she does that, I'll be laying down wood flooring upstairs.

Front of the house. The picture doesn't justify the size of the house. It's about 4,000 sq. ft.

Kitchen

Dry bar off kitchen

Family room. You can't tell from this angle, but it's very large.

Previous owners went tile crazy and this isn't even the half of it

Master bedroom

Doors leading to Master bath. There are separate his/hers vanities (one in each door) and it horseshoes in the middle for the shower/toilet/closet

Master bath. In July, the tub is being replaced with a jetted soaker and a stand up shower is going next to it in place of the large linen closet (there is another linen closet in the room with the toilet)

15'x11' walk-in closet

Second Bath

Slate tiled ceiling. Notice the hole for the rainfall shower head

Money Wall. Yes, they are individually adhered on.

That's really all the pictures I have. My wife got tired of taking pictures and wanted to play with the bunny that came out of the rabbit hole in the backyard.

Yomama,

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for the house? My mom lives in a similar looking home with around 3500sqft and i've been thinking of buying a house there in a few years. Homes there aren't as overpriced as ones on the east/west coasts and you get a lot for your money.

Beautiful home by the way. Good luck painting that beast.

About 200K on Foreclosure. It was built by KB Home and is only 5 years old.

Property is dirt cheap in Texas for y'all thinking that the price is crazy low.

It's actually in Round Rock. Do you know where Forest Creek is?

It's pretty close to the tollway so wifey can get to work easier than off 620. She works at Dell Children's. I work off MoPac so it's about the same for me.

Damn, thats a great price.

The previous owner going "tile crazy" is an understatement. The 1x1 tiles on the dry bar is just wrong, too much grout to keep clean on a surface that will likely get dirty often. I personally hate tile counters, my dad has them at his house, they just look cheap. The tile up the stairs is retarded. The multi-colored tile just looks like it could be annoying, at least on its own with no decorations to take your eye off it.

Sorry for being so critical. I recently remodeled our house so I had to deal with the ugly and laid tile and did a custom shower and such. The house has the potential. Happy remodeling, have fun with that sledge hammer getting all that tile out
