will lowering my car affect my xenons

hey im planning on lowering my car with H&R sport springs but i wanted to know if it will affect my auto leveling xenons, do i adjust them manually, or will the leveling feature be slightly off

I wouldnt think you would see a noticable difference considering the fact that you are not lowering the car a whole lot... but you might notice that the lights "jiggle" up and down more simply because when you lower a car the ride becomes more firm...

I seem to remember people needing to adjust the beams up a bit,


it should only matter if the kit doesn't drop the car evenly

i just got my h&r sports installed this past weekend. i've driven my car at night several time since, and have not noticed a difference.

I had to adjust mine but not due to lowering. Search the DIY for instructions.

I dont have auto levelling on my car! He has autoleveling!
But NO i have actually never adjusted my xenons since i installed them! The right one sits higher than the right too but ive been told thats somewhat normal!

oic. yea, i'm just wondering, cuz i remember seeing threads where people said they needed to adjust their headlights because they lowered their e90.

yea thats why nymikey is asking ?? about it..I think if anything it personal preference and if it a big deal u can always give it a couple twists to bring them up a bit!

I had to adjust my beams manually with a philip's screwdriver......

after lowering the car....my beams were shooting straight to the ground....couldn't see shit!

alright thanks guys im new to all this e90 modding but im very familiar with the e46 and i told myself i was not going to mod my e90 like my e46 but i cant help it

If you have Xenons with self levelling then they will level themselves, unless you lower the car so much that the suspension travel sensors are on the stops. (which is doubtfull unless you change the bumpstops)

Whether the car is evenly lowered or lowered more at one end, that is the same as loading the vehicle, which is what self levelling is for!!
