Possible Cam problem in 325i 2006

Today my 325i with 50450 miles started fine but as soon as it hit idle it got real rough and dies. Crank it back up and it seems ok until the next idle then the same thing again.

I take it to the dealer and they pulled the engine codes and it says CAM. Not cam sensor but cam. They are pulling the parts off to get to it for an inspection but I wanted to see if others have had any issue and if so do you think BMW will cover it beyond the 50K warranty?

I searched the forum on CAM and didnt find anything similar.

Thanks

Don

Hmmm...I don't have any answer for you regarding your technical questions. Hopefully, BMW will extend some good will towards you being you are so close to the 50,000 mile mark. Keep us posted.
