Did anyone get the Service Inclusive plan?

I have about 2 weeks to decide whether I want the service inclusive plan (3years/60,000km for $850).

For those of you that are not aware, "it covers the replacement of wear-and-tear items such as brake linings, brake rotors, engine belts, wiper blades and clutch components"

This is my first 6MT car, do you think I would need clutch component replacements within 60,000km?

I think I am going to get it. It will pay for itself if you have to get the brakes replaced once.

+1

The clutch components alone for the old E46 were close to 1600 including labour and the brakes for the old ones were around 1400. Mind you the E46 did not have cross drilled rotors!

Its totally worth it...IMO you should get the 4yrs/80KM better resale value, if you decide on selling it prior

I wouldn't. All insurance is generally a gamble. I always try to avoid any kind of insurance. However, it all depernds an how are you planning to drive the car? Are you going to kick the crap out of it or baby it?

It has been offered for awhile already. They pushed this package back in May 08 when I purchased the car and you have 1 year to decide whether you want it or not.

I got it for 5yr/96K. I figured I would go through at least 2 brake job and a clutch, 2-3 wipers etc. in that time. Plus, when it is time to sell it, it should help with the resale value since it is transferable.

i bought the package for 4 yrs if i am not wrong. i plan on doing a couple of track days so i figured a couple of brake pad changes and one rotor change and i would have made up the value of that package already.

How long do you guys think the breaks will last. I know this depends on how hard you drive and if you track the car. Just looking for a ballpark number of km's. Because I am going tomorrow to get the inclusive plan and was wondering should I get the 3 or 4 year.

thanks

if you are gonna keep the car for 4-5 yrs then go for the 5yr package since there is almost no difference between 4 and 5 years pricing. however, if you are gonna get rid of it after the third year, just get the 3yr package.

oh btw, don't tell them you are gonna track the car because it is not valid if you do.
