Why would a tank ventilation system code involve the fuel pump?
When it happened on my Z4, it turned out to be a defective gas cap.

Usually poorly sealed gas cap. Make sure it clicks a few times when you close off the tank. A few motor starts might reset that for you.

Any update on this yet? I keep getting the same 2A1A code and the dealer replaced the fuel tank ventilation valve yesterday. Hopefully it will not come back
