Latest Mods!!
Ive now fitted the Eibach spacers (12mm front & 15mm rear) - such a subtle and relatively cheap mod makes such a huge aesthetic difference to the look and stance of the car - no rubbing issues whatsover and could have easily gone 15mm all round BUT the car is getting lowered on weds and i think i may have to swap them around and put the 12mm on the rear and 15mm on the front as originally planned. The other mod ive done this week are the Carbon Fibre Mirror Covers and the Carbon Fibre Side Indicator Grills. But the main mod completed yesterday were the alloys. I decided to fully refurb and then respray the 19' OEM's. I was considering aftermarket rims but thought i would try this first. Have to say they dont look as good in the pics as they do in the flesh. I specially chose the colour myself with my mate from ProSmart and i have to say im really pleased with the results. Next week the car goes into to have the suspension lowered with the Eibach Pro Kit, LED Angel Eyes, Vorsteiner front CF Splitter and CF rear Diffuser

Just dropped the car off to have the next phase of mods completed. Today its having the VRS II CF rear diffuser and VRS CF front splitter fitted, CF wheel caps to match the other CF badges on the car and to blend in with the newly sprayed alloys, LED Angel eye bulbs and the Eibach Pro Kit. The only problem i envisage is we may have to put the 12mm spacers on the back and swap the 15mm ones to the front to avoid any rubbing issues. Im going to leave the car with them overnight to give the VRS bits longer to adhere. Will report back with pics when i get the car back. Steve

?????? Honestly couldnt give a toss what you think of them kiddo - but rather a strange comment to make all the same (but then again so was your stupid Peckham remark in the other thread too - twat!).... "havent been done right???" - what exactly doesnt "look" right about them???? The pics are not high quality pics i admit but still dont get your point?? Every single person, bar none, who has seen them in the flesh think they look awsome - and they really have transformed the look of the car from a little plain and ordinary to something a little more special. Oh, and they are not black - they are a mix of gunmetal and mercury with a very fine pearlescent fleck to them. I personally hate black wheels and definitely didnt want them black. Im exceptionally happy with the results.

Its not a problem, its your opinion - albeit your opinion is wrong, but hey ho!! - in all seriousness it was your choice of words that got my back up - and the Peckham comment was uncalled for - not the best way to make friends and influence people! Anyhow, im looking forward to seeing how good your car looks at the next M3 meet - maybe we'll have the meet in Peckham, eh!!?

Well, hey - if we paint the bricks a gunmetal colour it might look ok!! Out of interest, what colour is your M3 and what mods have you done???

And what mods have you done?? You mentioned no cosmetic mods so i assume you have done some engine/performance related mods??? What have you done and what benefit do you feel they have given, if any??

I can vouch that Steve's wheels look great in the flesh and really sit well on the AW car... I personally always thought the stock 18's look good on AW, and what Steve's achieved is a similar look but with 19's.
Where can I find more details about this Thorney meet, or is that a thorney subject |

Its on www.bm3w.co.uk but the site is down at the moment - should be back soon. Its not fully confirmed yet but targeting end of May. Thorney will have his mechanics around and will be doing dyno's. There'll be a big bbq and alot of nice motors there.
Will post more details here when they come up. Cheers, Neil. |
